The Battle of Britain DVD

"Never has the field of human conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few..." Guy Hamilton's Battle of Britain, set during the RAF's pivotal battle against Germany's Luftwaffe, is a must-have for anyone interested in WW2 and aviation. Spitfires, Hurricanes, Stukas, Heinkels duke it out in spectacular fashion! The filmic style foreshadows the gritty non-glamorized style of more recent war films, giving viewers a grim taste of how the air war was waged. Plus, the set comes with documentaries about the aircraft restorations and filming aerial combat, as well as a featurette on an RAF squadron leader's recollection of the battle. Get it if you have the opportunity! posted from Bloggeroid

Diecast Armor

I've been collecting these diecast vehicles for possile use in wargames. With a little repainting and some add-ons, these will look spiffy.

Dollar Store Helis

I chanced upon these at my local market. I think they're Chinese made models based on a better known brand's scale model but i'm not familiar with aircraft models. Each is around a dollar. The box says its 1:115 scale which I feel is wrong. More likely it is 1:144. Any one tried these? How do they build up? I think I saw 3 different helis as well as an assortment of fighters.
