Hat's Carthaginian Allies has two Celtiberian figures. These warriors come from the north of the Spanish peninsula and their appearance shows influences from both Northern Celtic and Southern Iberian neighbors. The figures are sculpted with the Montefortino style crested helmets, large Celtic shields, and a type of sword typical of pre-Roman Hispania named by modern scholars as falcata on one.
After allying themselves with Carthage in the Second Punic War and subsequently losing to Rome with Carthage's defeat, individual clan/tribal resistance against Rome continued from 154-133 BCE. When the Celtiberian city of Numantia fell to a 13 month Roman seige, Roman cultural influences grew more popular and eventually supplanted Celtiberian culture. Known tribes were named as Arevaci, Belli, Lusones, and Titti.
The figures are based for Warmaster with two figures to a stand a three stands making a unit.
